The result is a closed-loop ecosystem: developers build on CDP, agents use Coinbase wallets, payments settle on Base, and the medium is Circle’s USDC. That’s a powerful moat, but also a single point of failure.


Core: The On-Chain Evidence Chain—What We Know and What We Don’t

Let’s start with what we can verify. The 14 million transfers are recorded on Base, a rollup with a single sequencer operated by Coinbase. Assuming a conservative gas fee of $0.001 per transaction, the total revenue generated for Base validators is approximately $14,000—a negligible amount that doesn’t justify the hype.
